Several people have been asking how I find new people to contact.  Here is a brief list of resources I pull from and it all has to do with the internet.  Team building is extremely important in my overall business plan.  I take responsibility for coaching them in how to build a successful business and their doing the same. 

 

Getting the face to face contact generates a higher closing ratio.  Achieving a face to face often starts with some diligence outside of normal business hours surfing / searching online. 

 

  • Facebook.com
  • Twitter.com
  • LinkedIn.com, specifically joining groups that would benefit from additional income and / or saving money while defending the environment
  • Meetup.com   very strong recruiting resource
  • Local Job Boards that expose the resume and contact information (LinkedIn is one of them).  Start in your local market.
  • Workforce, with the addition of training via the commercial division they have started forwarding a few resume’s but they are all about placement with hourly or salary jobs
  • Classified Ads  seek out small business owners that use engines or diesel generators, lawn maintenance, contractors, delivery services, pest control, etc. (newspapers and snail mail advertisements too)
  • Blogs have been very useful in getting to know people first, build a relationship and the sales and recruiting increase. 
  • Green Groups / Trade Shows / Nonprofit Events, search online to establish contacts
  • Alternative Energy Groups
  • Community Events
  • Wholesale, retail and commercial sales people; do searches and click on advertisements, seek out contact info.  Networking, direct sales and Affiliate sales company’s are a true builders paradise.  Today’s economy dictates putting those eggs in more than one basket.
  • Old leads and my ‘heavy hitter / chicken list(s)’. Check all the contacts in your database; if they have not heard from you in 4 months, it is time to reconnect.  Call or send a personal note, letting them know they are still on your radar and asking about their well being. 
  • Free Lead Source:  Orange Leads is where I achieve most success from at least a dozen resources (all pay services except this one), http://www.orangeleads.com?id=11714  Sign up and immediately start taking leads and see if FLIglobal is the right fit for them.  If not, ask who is looking for serious income in the green industry. 

 

Once you sign up; give your link to your team members, you and they can win free advertising on the site. No charge, just wade through all the advertisements and you will learn your way around.

 

They remove the lead once you take it, you can choose to only take high $ ones or just a slew to practice on. No fee, but they show the value of each lead as they come from different search services.  I’ve seen as low as $.25 and as high at $7.00.  I found it a bit cumbersome at first until I got the hang of it.  There is no limit of how many or how quickly you retrieve them. 

 

Pace yourselves as you get fresher leads by taking as many as you can process and then pull some more.  My results were:  Recruit 1:87 and get referrals from 16% of those I don’t enroll.  Not bad for free leads, the people specifically seeking additional income. 

 

There is no rejection in sales (detox your mind of thinking rejection); there is an answer, however, and that is all you are seeking.  It is all in the attitude; adjust yours to the next level of success. 

 

An answer; got it?  Yes, no, maybe, I’ll think about it or not now.  Hence there is NO rejection; earn your answer and take it from there.  Even if they ignore you and walk away, you did get an answer; N E X T!!!

 

So, the challenge is on; let’s see who can get the strongest results!!!  Beat my averages and contact me personally; you WILL be spotlighted for sure (sur-prizes as well).  I know you all of you already have, but it starts from today and every Saturday, stats will be shared on the Business Builders call.  Keep a daily / weekly tally of how many ANSWERS you receive.  Everyone is a winner when you are actively working your business.

Listening to the archived calls at http://FuelLegacyOnline.com will help you with just the right ‘catch phrases’ and emotional questions to keep the conversation rolling.  Directing people to a specific video or section within a website increases the times people follow through.

 

Connect with your accountability partner if you do not have experience in this part of marketing; listen in on a couple 3-way’s, then allow them to listen to you doing a few (then challenge them <smiling>).

 

Keep the questions all about YOUR CONTACT, listen intently and write down the responses.  When they ask something about you, contain yourself by turning it back toward them.
